Occasionally, HPOPS members have trouble accessing the HPOPS website. The HPOPS website has never experienced an extended period of downtime so trouble with access will almost always be due to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirement where you get a text on your phone with a code to use in the login process. The MFA process can be irritating at times but please remember that MFA helps protect your pension benefits from bad actors.
Issues with MFA generally are a result of members changing phone numbers (the text with the MFA code goes to your old phone) or when members accidentally block the phone number sending the MFA text. There can be other reasons, but this is what we see most often.
